Context Master is licensed to You (End-User) by LuGoSoft, located and registered at Thalkirchner Str. 47, 80337 Munich, Germany ("Licensor"), for use only under the terms of this License Agreement. Our VAT number is DE454016853.

By downloading the Licensed Application from any platform and any update thereto, You indicate that You agree to be bound by all of the terms and conditions of this License Agreement, and that You accept this License Agreement.

Please Note (Merchant of Record): You acknowledge that the purchase of your license or subscription is processed and fulfilled by our authorized reseller and Merchant of Record, LemonSqueezy ("Reseller"). While the Licensor grants you the intellectual property rights to use the software under this EULA, your purchase contract, billing, and invoices are handled exclusively between You and the Reseller according to their terms of service. The Licensor does not issue refunds.

1. THE APPLICATION

Context Master ("Licensed Application") is a software extension customized for Visual Studio Code ("VS Code"). It functions as a Code Intelligence Engine and acts as a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server. Its purpose is to extract structural and semantic information from your local codebase and expose this data via tools to connected Large Language Model (LLM) clients (e.g., Claude, OpenAI, or other coding agents).

2. SCOPE OF LICENSE

2.1 License Grant: You are given a non-transferable, non-exclusive, non-sublicensable license to install and use the Licensed Application on devices You own or control, subject to the validity of your license key provided by our Reseller.
2.2 Restrictions: You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source code of the Licensed Application, or any part thereof, circumvent the license validation mechanisms, or redistribute the application to unauthorized third parties.

3. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS AND EXTERNAL DEPENDENCIES

3.1 The Licensed Application relies on internal APIs of Visual Studio Code and the Model Context Protocol (MCP). Licensor makes reasonable efforts to maintain compatibility; however, updates by Microsoft (VS Code) or changes to the MCP standard may temporarily or permanently affect functionality.
3.2 The Licensed Application acts as a bridge between your local codebase and third-party LLMs. You acknowledge that you are solely responsible for managing the API keys, costs, and terms of service of any third-party LLM you connect to the Licensed Application.

4. USE OF DATA, ERROR TRACKING & LICENSE VALIDATION

4.1 License Validation: The Licensed Application requires internet connectivity to periodically communicate with servers controlled by the Licensor (or its Reseller) to validate your license key, manage subscription states, and prevent piracy.
4.2 You acknowledge that Licensor will be able to access and adjust Your downloaded Licensed Application content and Your personal information, and that Licensor's use of such material and information is subject to Your legal agreements with Licensor and Licensor's privacy policy: https://context-master.dev/privacy.

5. DISCLAIMER REGARDING AI AND LLM ACTIONS

Please read carefully: The Licensed Application provides structural code context to external, autonomous AI models (LLMs).
5.1 The Licensor has no control over the output, code generation, refactoring decisions, or commands executed by the LLM based on the context provided by this extension.
5.2 You acknowledge that LLMs can hallucinate, produce incorrect logic, or suggest destructive actions. You are strictly required to use a Version Control System (e.g., Git) and maintain backups of your codebase.
5.3 The Licensor accepts no liability whatsoever for corrupted files, data loss, security vulnerabilities, or operational downtime caused by AI-generated code or AI-directed actions facilitated through the Licensed Application.

6. LIABILITY

6.1 Licensor's liability in the case of violation of obligations and tort shall be limited to intent and gross negligence. Only in the case of a breach of essential contractual duties (cardinal obligations), Licensor shall also be liable in case of slight negligence. In such cases, liability is limited to foreseeable, contractually typical damages.
6.2 The limitation mentioned above does not apply to injuries to life, limb, or health, or claims under the German Product Liability Act (Produkthaftungsgesetz).

7. WARRANTY

7.1 The Licensed Application is provided "AS IS" and the Licensor warrants that the software provides the core functionality described in the documentation. However, due to the experimental nature of AI tooling, the Licensor does not warrant that the application will be entirely error-free or that the LLM will interpret the MCP tools flawlessly.
7.2 Defect reports must be submitted without undue delay. If the application is defective, Licensor reserves the right to remedy the situation via updates.
7.3 No Refunds by Licensor: To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, all license and subscription fees are non-refundable and non-cancellable once paid. LuGoSoft (the Licensor) does not provide refunds, credits, or prorated reimbursements for unused time, unused features, or early cancellation. Any mandatory statutory rights that cannot be limited or waived remain unaffected.

8. TERMINATION

This license is valid until your subscription expires or is terminated. Your rights terminate automatically if You fail to adhere to any terms of this EULA or fail to pay applicable fees to the Reseller. Upon termination, You must stop using and delete the Licensed Application.
